Origami Christmas Tree

Hit the high notes!

It was a privilege this autumn to work on a commission for The Bank of England.

I had great delight in making it from 228 individual modules in pre-cut decommissioned notes totalling £6050 of paper and polymer pieces!

For those of you who are wondering...It took me 48hrs to make it!

I am thrilled to be able to share this with you thanks to their kind permission as I think the tree looks stunning. Too bad I couldn’t keep it, but the photos do it justice with special thanks to photographer Jake Seal.

Here’s how The Bank of England dressed and decorated it for their own photoshoot to create their Christmas greetings to the World. It was shared on social media on Christmas Eve 2019: https://twitter.com/bankofengland/status/1209414931604475904?s=21

Thank you for reading.

Here’s wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a happy 2020.
